International digital-terrestrial television and pay-television broadcaster CNN has agreed a rights deal with the International Judo Federation.
From September, CNN will begin to broadcast a regular new 30-minute show dedicated to major IJF events.
‘Judo World’ will feature coverage of competitions such as the IJF World Judo Championships and various Grand Slam events.
The new programme will also include athlete interviews and special features about the history of judo.
In addition, CNN will launch a judo ‘microsite’ on its primary CNN.com website.
