The World Karate Federation has appointed International Sports Broadcasting as the host broadcaster and exclusive media-rights sales agency for two of its key properties.
The deal will cover the federation’s Karate1 Premier League and Senior World Championships over four years, from 2017 to 2020.
The Karate1 Premier League features a series of eight tournaments per year. The federation said the deal would guarantee coverage will be available to a global audience.
“We will endeavour to enhance the production for these premier world karate events, using dedicated teams that will work with the WKF to provide excellent coverage,” said Ursula Romero, ISB’s head of production.
