ISL maintains it will honour debts, bemoans failure of commercial operations

The International Swimming League has vowed to “honour all obligations” to companies still awaiting payment from its inaugural 2019 season, while asserting that its commercial activities have “failed” thus far.

The start-up league, founded by Ukrainian billionaire Konstantin Grigorishin, has attracted unwanted headlines in recent weeks as LiveWire Sport, the UK-based digital content agency, has reiterated its willingness to initiate court proceedings over unpaid monies. It has also emerged that the IMG agency is awaiting full payment for broadcast production services provided during season one.
