French digital-terrestrial television channel L'Équipe 21 has acquired rights for events hosted by the International Biathlon Union.
The deal covers nine stages of the IBU World Cup between November and March as well as the senior and junior world championships and the IBU Cup. The length of the deal was not disclosed.
The rights were acquired from the European Broadcasting Union, which brokered the deal on behalf of the IBU.
The French division of international sports broadcaster Eurosport also has IBU rights until 2021.
