Liv Sports snaps up T20 Challenge digital rights

Indian media group Multi Screen Media has announced that its Liv Sports digital division has acquired mobile and internet rights for the 2014-15 edition of South Africa’s domestic T20 Challenge cricket tournament.

Liv Sports will offer live and on-demand coverage. Fourteen games will be available live and for free.

The deal was struck after Indian sports and entertainment pay-television channel Sony Six earlier this week acquired broadcast rights in the Indian sub-continent to the tournament in a deal with Cricket South Africa.

The second season of the T20 Challenge started on Sunday and will run until December 12.
