M6 and TF1 ‘seek to address concerns’ over merger deal

French free-to-air commercial broadcasters M6 and TF1 have offered a series of remedies in an effort to secure regulatory approval for their proposed merger.

As reported by Le Figaro, one of the key proposals put forward by the broadcasters’ respective parent companies, media group RTL Group and conglomerate Bouygues, is that their advertising businesses could be kept separate for three years after the merger.
