Major League Football secures broadcast partner

American Sports Network, a subsidiary of US broadcasting company Sinclair Networks Group, has secured rights to the country’s new Major League Football (MLFB) spring American football competition.

The deal will run for two years, covering the inaugural 2016 season and the 2017 campaign.

American Sports Network will broadcast live coverage of all 40 regular-season games as well as all post-season matches throughout the 2016 campaign.

The 2016 season runs from April until July and will feature eight teams, each of which will play at least 10 games. The MLFB expects to expand the league by an additional four teams for the second season.

To accommodate this expansion, American Sports Network and the MLFB will provide fans with the ability to view every regular-season and post-season game on multiple television outlets and digital media platforms.
