English Premier League side Manchester City has agreed a regional sponsorship deal with Indian digital services brand Jio Platforms that will see the company become the club’s Official Mobile Communications Network Partner in India.
Under the deal, which was enabled and supported by Indian sports agency Rise Worldwide, which like Ji Platforms is owned by Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries, the two parties will collaborate on a range of fan engagement initiatives. The initiatives will be available through Jio’s digital ecosystem, which includes JioTV, MyJio, Jio STB and JioEngage.
