Marca TV acquires Spanish women’s football league rights

Marca TV, the digital terrestrial channel owned by Spanish commercial broadcaster La Sexta, acquired rights to the Primera Division Feminina, the top tier of the Spanish women’s football league, for the remainder of the 2011-12 season.

Marca TV will provide live coverage of league matches, beginning with tonight’s match between Rayo Vallecano and Espanyol.

There are seven games left in the 18-team league. The final round of matches takes place on May 27.
