Mayweather-Pacquiao deals signed in Russia and Pacific Islands

Russian state broadcaster Channel One and Fijian commercial and pay-television broadcaster Fiji TV have acquired rights to the world welterweight title fight between boxing’s pound-for-pound superstars Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.

Channel One said it will broadcast the bout live as Mayweather and Pacquiao contest the WBC, WBA and WBO welterweight titles at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 2.

The Fiji Times newspaper said Fiji TV has secured rights to the event in Fiji and the Pacific Islands.

The fight will be offered on a pay-per-view basis to subscribers of Sky Fiji for F$40 (€18/$19).
