MCS picks up Austrian FIS World Cup rights

French basic-tier sports broadcaster Ma Chaîne Sport has struck a rights deal for coverage of International Ski Federation (FIS) World Cup events that are held in Austria.

The deal will run for three seasons, from 2015-16 to 2017-18.

Coverage of various FIS disciplines, including alpine skiing, slalom, giant slalom, ski jumping, super-G, snowboard and Nordic combined, will be available on the MCS and MCS Extreme channels.

Action will be shown from the courses at Solden, Montafon, Lienz, Innsbruck, Bischofshofen, Bad Gastein, St Anton, Flachau, Kitzbuhel, Schladming, Seefeld, Hinzenbach and Hinterstoder, starting on December 28.

All of the competitions will be shown live.
