Revenues at the International Basketball Federation (Fiba) dropped to CHF65m (€59.4m/$72.3m) in 2020, with 41 per cent of that sum stemming from media rights, as the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic prompted an overall net loss of CHF13.5m at the sport’s world governing body.
The revenue figure was down sharply on the CHF152.4m received in 2019, a year in which the federation’s flagship Basketball World Cup was held.
