Mediaset Premium nets Uefa Youth League rights

The Mediaset Premium pay-television service of Italian commercial broadcaster Mediaset has acquired rights for the Uefa Youth League European club football tournament.

The contract runs across the 2015-16 to 2017-18 seasons of the Youth League, which is set to enter its third campaign and features Europe’s leading U-19 teams.

During the first phase of the 2015-16 Youth League, Mediaset Premium will broadcast live coverage of all games featuring Juventus and Roma, starting with the former team’s clash against Manchester City today (Tuesday).

The Youth League is expanding this season to include the youth domestic champions of 32 nations, along with the 32 clubs competing in the men’s Champions League. This adds Torino as a competitor from Italy.
