Mediaset Premium picks up America’s Cup rights in Italy

The Mediaset Premium pay-television service of Italian commercial broadcaster Mediaset has acquired exclusive rights in the country to the 35th edition of sailing’s America’s Cup.

Mediaset Premium will broadcast live coverage of races on its Premium Sport HD channel. The broadcaster will also show highlights programmes on its Mediaset Italia 2 free-to-air channel.

The deal covers all platforms.

The America’s Cup World Series continues with an event in Portsmouth, England this weekend. Italy’s Francesco Bruni is helming the Artemis Racing boat.
