Commercial and pay-television broadcaster Modern Times Group has struck a long-term rights deal for the European Handball Federation men’s and women’s Champions League club competitions.
The exclusive deal covers Sweden and Norway and will run for six years, from 2014-15 to 2019-20.
Modern Times Group’s new agreement with the EHF Marketing division of the continental governing body was brokered by the MP & Silva agency.
Matches will be shown on the free‐to-air channels TV10 in Sweden and Viasat4 in Norway and via pay-television sports channel Viasat Sport in both countries.
Coverage will also be provided on catch‐up channels TV10 Play and Viasat4 Play plus online subscription service Viaplay.
