MP & Silva regains Premier League rights contract in Japan

The MP & Silva agency has confirmed it has regained distribution rights for the English Premier League club football competition in Japan.

MP & Silva has agreed a three-season deal with the Premier League, from 2016-17 to 2018-19, the top division of English football.

MP & Silva previously held the contract from 2010-11 to 2012-13, but rival agency IMG Events & Media picked up the contract for the current 2013-14 to 2015-16 cycle.

Japan becomes the 52nd territory in which MP & Silva controls the Premier League’s distribution rights.

The deal was first reported in the November 6 edition of TV Sports Markets.
