MSM picks up rights to India’s Pro Wrestling League

Sony-owned Indian broadcaster Multi Screen Media has acquired rights for the country’s new Pro Wrestling League domestic team competition.

The deal will run for five years, from 2015 until 2019.

MSM will serve as the official broadcast partner for the league in more than 60 countries. The deal marks the first occasion that MSM will broadcast a combat sport.

MSM will broadcast coverage of the event in the Indian subcontinent across Sony Max, Sony Six and Sin Pal, with promotional support from the Sony Network.

The inaugural Pro Wrestling League will take place in six cities across India from December 10-27.

MSM brokered the deal with ProSportify, the organiser and promoter of the first edition of the Pro Wrestling League in association with the Wrestling Federation of India national governing body.
