NBA secures Indonesian rights deal

Kreatif Media Karya, the digital business arm of Indonesian media conglomerate Elang Mahkota Teknologi, has agreed a rights deal with the NBA.

The length of the deal was not disclosed, but Indonesian basketball fans will be provided with access to 240 NBA games per season on local television stations Indosiar and O-Channel, as well as web streaming platforms Vidio.com and Bola.com.

KMK will also market the NBA’s League Pass online streaming service in Indonesia through the partnership.

“Indonesia is currently ranked fifth (in terms of) NBA fans in the world,” KMK’s chief marketing officer, Prami Rachmiadi, said, according to Bola.com.

“We look forward to the cooperation with the NBA so that Indonesia’s young generation can more easily get information about the number one basketball league in the world.”
