NBA signs digital partnership with Perform

North American basketball league the NBA has today (Thursday) signed a multi-year partnership with Perform that will see the digital sports content and media group manage the organisation’s official websites in more than 15 international markets.

The agreement includes Argentina, Australia, Canada, India, Japan, Mexico and Spain.

Perform will focus on growing the league’s international audiences on these platforms through locally-relevant stories and branded content, and on promoting NBA League Pass – the league’s live-game subscription service – on DAZN, Perform’s OTT platform.

Perform currently owns and manages 10 D2C properties worldwide that reach more than 170 million fans per month – Goal.com being its largest property and the largest football platform in the world, with nearly 100 million users per month – as well as other strategic, long-term partnerships with American football league the NFL, the International Basketball Federation (Fiba), Women’s Tennis Association and South American Football Confederation (Conmebol).

The NBA currently features 20 localised, international web destinations.
