NBC agrees ten-year extension for Tour de France rights

US cable channel the NBC Sports Network has renewed its deal with the Amaury Sport Organisation for rights to the Tour de France cycle race for a further ten years, from 2014 to 2023.

The broadcaster will show live coverage of every stage. It has also acquired internet and mobile rights.

As part of the agreement, the NBC Sports Network also acquired rights to a number of other events organised by ASO, including the Paris-Nice, Critérium International, Critérium du Dauphiné, Paris-Roubaix, Flèche Wallonne, Liège-Bastogne-Liège and Paris-Tours cycle races, plus the Dakar Rally and the Paris Marathon.

ASO is a French sports marketing company that organises and sells the media rights for the Tour de France and other sports events.
