The NBC Sports Group division of US media company NBCUniversal has acquired exclusive media rights in the country to UK horse racing showpiece Royal Ascot under a multi-year deal.
Starting from 2017, pay-television channel NBCSN will broadcast at least three-and-a-half hours of live coverage per day from Tuesday to Saturday during the event.
The coverage will also be streamed online across desktops, mobile devices, tablets and connected televisions via live streaming service NBC Sports Live Extra.
NBC Sports Group also holds exclusive rights in the country to a number of leading US horse racing events, including the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, Belmont Stakes and the Breeders’ Cup.
Undrafted (pictured), part-owned by former New England Patriots and Denver Broncos NFL American football player Wes Welker, won the Group One Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot in 2015.
