NBC Sports Network, the cable-television sports channel of US network NBC, agreed an exclusive five-year deal with the Colonial Athletic Association, for rights to American football and basketball matches from the east coast college conference.
The contract covers the period from 2012-13 to 2016-17.
NBC Sports Network replaces ESPN as the broadcaster of the CAA. The agreement represents the network’s first deal for a National Collegiate Athletic Association conference.
The deal also includes internet rights.
