NC Plus takes Euroleague rights ahead of PGE Turow’s debut

Polish pay-television broadcaster NC Plus has signed a two-year agreement to show the Euroleague club basketball competition.

The deal comes into immediate effect and takes in the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons of the top-tier competition.

It allows NC Plus to broadcast the Euroleague debut of Polish club PGE Turow Zgorzelec against Greek champion Panathinaikos on Friday. All of PGE Turow’s games will be covered live across NC Plus platforms.

NC Plus will also show matches from across the Euroleague schedule, culminating in the showpiece Final Four event in Madrid, Spain next May.

“Our commitment to the basketball fans in Poland takes a big step forward thanks to this agreement with NC Plus,” Andrea Bassani, Euroleague Basketball's chief television and new media rights officer, said.

“We are delighted to reunite with a partner that guarantees quality broadcasting of Euroleague games in a market that Euroleague Basketball has always believed in due to its enthusiasm for our competitions and the growing competitiveness of Polish teams in them.”
