Neo Sports picks up rights to landmark Indian MMA event

Indian pay-television broadcaster Neo Sports has acquired rights to the Brave Combat Federation’s upcoming mixed martial arts event in Mumbai.

Brave Combat Federation will stage its first Indian MMA event on Sunday at Mumbai’s Dome-NSCI venue. Neo Sports will broadcast live coverage of the event across India between 8pm and 10pm local time.

The event will also be broadcast across 53 countries, and live streamed via bravefights.com.

It will mark the first time a major MMA promotion has travelled to India. The main event will feature Tahar Hadbi of Algeria and England’s Carl Booth, with Indian athletes including Mohammed Farhad, Nelson Paes, Hardeep Rai, Bharat Khandare and Chaitanya Gavali also set to compete.
