NexGTv snares IPL mobile rights

Times Internet, the online and mobile arm of Indian publishing company Times Group, has sublicensed mobile rights for the 2013 season of the Indian Premier League Twenty20 cricket tournament to Indian media company NexGTv.

NexGTv has acquired live rights for all 76 games during the 2013 campaign as well as highlights and repeats of contests. The coverage will be added to existing nexGTv subscription packages.

G.D. Singh, the director of nexGTv’s parent company DigiVive, said: “Streaming all 76 matches of the IPL is yet another step towards our commitment of delivering best possible service and content on our mobile TV platform.”

The IPL’s 2013 season starts on April 3 and will conclude on May 26.
