NFL’s Panthers pounce for new regional rights deal

The Carolina Panthers NFL American football franchise has sealed a local media rights deal with regional cable-television broadcaster Time Warner Cable SportsChannel.

TWC SportsChannel will be the exclusive local cable-television partner of the Panthers, which will produce more than 250 hours of programming per year for the broadcaster.

The length of the multi-year deal was not disclosed.

In addition to live coverage and re-runs of Panthers pre-season games, the channel will show nightly programmes dedicated to the team, including the Panthers Camp Confidential magazine programme and the Panther Talk and Panthers Roundtable discussion shows.
