Japanese public-service broadcaster NHK has agreed a two-year extension to its broadcast rights deal with cycling’s global governing body, the Union Cycliste Internationale.
Under the latest agreement, NHK will have the exclusive rights to broadcast the UCI’s Road World Championships, Track Cycling World Championships and the Track Cycling World Cup Classics in Japan in 2013 and 2014.
Live broadcasts will be complemented by UCI-edited highlights, as well as magazine and news programmes.
