NHL brokers rights deal with SendtoNews

Digital sports news agency SendtoNews has secured a digital rights distribution deal with North American ice hockey league the NHL.

SendtoNews’ news publishing partners in the US will have access to a range of short-form digital video content throughout the ongoing 2016-17 season.

Content will include NHL game highlights, interviews, top players and other fan interest videos.

Matthew Watson, executive chairman of SendtoNews, said: “Through this new rights deal, hockey fans throughout the US will have additional access to NHL content via their preferred online newspapers and the NHL will have increased exposure to a large, nationwide audience of new potential fans.”

SendtoNews has similar agreements in place with Major League Baseball, the Nascar stock car-racing series and golf’s PGA Tour.
