NHL’s Phoenix Coyotes seal local rights deal

NHL ice hockey franchise the Phoenix Coyotes have agreed a one-year local television rights deal with independent broadcaster 3TV and its sister station CW6.

The over-the-air (OTA) agreement takes effect during the 2013-14 regular NHL season and includes the rights to 10 Coyotes games.

The deal commences with CW6 broadcasting tonight’s game, in which the Coyotes travel to face the New York Islanders. The additional nine games will be broadcast by 3TV.

Phoenix Coyotes president and chief executive Anthony LeBlanc said: “3TV has been a great partner since 1996 and these OTA games will ensure that every fan in the Valley can watch Coyotes games on television.”
