Norwegian public-service broadcaster NRK has agreed a deal to begin broadcasting coverage of the Ski Classics long-distance skiing championship.
The five-season deal will run from 2016-17 to 2020-21. NRK will broadcast coverage of the Ski Classics on an exclusive basis in Norway.
Ski Classics chief executive David Nilsson said: “NRK is the world’s leading media companies with regards winter sports, and we believe this partnership will be very positive for the future development of Ski Classics.”
Runar Østmo, head of sports rights for NRK, added: “The tour and the sport of long distance skiing have great potential in Norway and with its early morning starts it will fit us perfectly and give our audience an attractive and complete experience during the winter weekends.”
