The Fox Sports division of US network Fox has agreed a one-season extension to its rights deal with the National Women’s Soccer League, the top division of women’s football in the United States.

Pay-television channel Fox Sports 1 will broadcast three regular-season games from the 2016 season in September, as well as all three NSWL playoff matches. The channel broadcast the same amount of games during the 2015 season.

Fox Sports 1 will show live coverage of the Chicago Red Stars’ home clash with FC Kansas City on September 7, Portland Thorns FC against Western New York Flash on September 11 and Seattle Reign FC’s trip to Houston Dash on September 25. The channel will also air the semi-finals and final of the playoffs, the dates of which have yet to be confirmed.

All six games will also be streamed live on the Fox Soccer 2Go and Fox Sports Go platforms.
