Austrian public-service broadcaster ORF has renewed and expanded a rights deal for various events run by the International Ski Federation (FIS).
The deal covers exclusive rights for showpiece FIS events such as the 2019 and 2021 FIS Alpine and Nordic World Ski Championships. The agreement also covers the FIS Ski World Cups in alpine, Nordic and freestyle, as well as snowboard.
ORF will show live coverage, highlights and news coverage.
For the Nordic World Ski Championships, ORF will also have online and mobile rights.
The deal was brokered by the Infront Sports & Media agency, the exclusive media and marketing partner of the FIS.
