Austrian public-service broadcaster ORF has acquired the rights to the Samsung Cup, Austrian football’s domestic club knockout competition, in a three-year deal running from the 2013-14 to 2015-16 season.
Under the agreement reached with the Austrian Football Federation (OFB), the ORF Sport + channel will broadcast games from the first round until the quarter finals. The rights will then revert to the ORF eins channel.
ORF’s deal with the OFB also includes internet rights to the Samsung Cup, which this year was won by FC Pasching.
