Middle Eastern pay-television operator OSN has acquired rights to the World Touring Car Championship motor racing series.
The agreement, which has been struck with WTCC promoter Eurosport Events, will initially cover the 2016 season-ending Race of Qatar, which takes place today (Friday) at Losail International Circuit.
OSN’s live coverage of the event will serve as a prelude to 2017 when the network will show all rounds of the WTCC in real time.
OSN will deliver the live coverage to its subscribers across the Middle East and North Africa region exclusively. These markets include: Algeria, Bahrain, Chad, Djibouti, Egypt, Gaza Strip, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, West Bank and Yemen.
