PBR Canada extends broadcast deal with TSN

Professional Bull Riders Canada has extended its domestic broadcast agreement with TSN for 2020.

For the third consecutive year, TSN will broadcast PBR competition for 32 weeks, recapping action from both its Canadian and United States-based tours. Terms were not disclosed.

Beginning on April 29, a weekly, one-hour highlights show will feature events from the Monster Energy Tour, the United States-based PBR Unleash The Beast, and the PBR Global Cup. TSN will also carry the new newly-launched 5/5 Bucking Battle event.

In the US, PBR made a noteworthy return to live action last weekend following a 41-day break as a result of the global Covid-19 pandemic.

The bull-riding circuit took advantage of Oklahoma’s relaxed stay-at-home rules to stage the “Las Vegas Invitational” at the Lazy E Arena and Ranch in Guthrie.

PBR chief executive Sean Gleason said: “We’ve had plenty of space to be safe and responsible as we get our PBR family back to work, and hopefully our process will pave the way for other sports.”
