Perform nets Club World Cup rights in UK

Digital sports media and content company Perform has acquired exclusive digital rights in the UK to the next two editions of the Fifa Club World Cup football competition.

The agreement covers the 2017 Club World Cup, which takes place in the United Arab Emirates from December 6-16, and the 2018 tournament.

Perform will utilise its Goal brand to stream the tournaments for free.

Sam Brown, Goal’s head of English language, said: “We’re looking to help fans feel as close as possible to the action in the UAE, both on the pitch and outside the stadiums, as well as showcasing how Goal covers international tournaments ahead of the World Cup in Russia next year.”
