Pitch scoops up men’s volleyball rights

The Pitch International agency will distribute worldwide media rights for the 2014 Men’s World Volleyball Championship in Poland.

The deal, which covers all media platforms, excludes Poland, Japan and Brazil.

The agency struck the deal with Polish pay-television broadcaster Polsat, which acquired the rights for the tournament in 2008 from the FIVB, the international volleyball federation.

Pitch will also handle the technical delivery of the tournament’s 103 games.

TV Sports Markets first reported the deal on February 14 (TV Sports Markets 18:3).
