PPTV to take WWE action to China

The WWE wrestling entertainment organisation has sealed a content distribution deal with Chinese online television service provider PPTV.

The length of the multi-year agreement was not disclosed.

Starting on June 28, viewers in China will be able to stream coverage of all three hours of the Raw programmes and two hours of the SmackDown programmes on demand.

The coverage will be available exclusively on PPTV and PPTV Sports.

The PPTV application will enable coverage to be shown via internet-connected televisions, set-top boxes, mobile devices and tablets, as well as PPTV’s website.

Short-form content will be available on PPTV’s digital platforms, with social media platforms such as WeChat and Sina Weibo being used to share WWE content.
