Premier League awards rights in Finland

The English Premier League, the top division of football in the country, has awarded exclusive rights in Finland to commercial and pay-television broadcaster MTV Media.

The broadcaster has acquired rights for all 380 games per season across all audiovisual platforms for three seasons, from 2013-14 to 2015-16.

This season, MTV Media has been including Premier League programming on its MTV3 Total pay-television package.

“The Premier League is one of the most appreciated sports brands in the world,” MTV Media’s head of sports, Tatu Lehmuskallio, said. “British football has always been a cornerstone in our broadcast portfolio and we are very happy that we are able to continue the great relationship between our broadcast outlets and the Premier League.”
