ProSiebenSat.1 makes channel free-to-air for Munich’s X Games event

German media company ProSiebenSat.1 will transmit its general entertainment pay-television channel, ProSieben Fun, on a free-to-air basis during Munich’s leg of extreme sports series the X Games from June 27-30, according to the DWDL.de website.

ProSiebenSat.1, together with its distribution partners Unitymedia and Kabel BW, has embarked on the initiative in order to open up the event to a wider audience.

“The X Games are not just about extreme sports, but also provide very good entertainment,” Zeljko Karajica, chief executive of ProSiebenSat.1 TV, said.
