Racing.com picks up Pegasus World Cup rights

Australian free-to-air digital channel Racing.com has acquired exclusive rights in the country to the inaugural edition of the Pegasus World Cup horse-racing event.

The event will take place on Saturday at the Gulfstream Park racecourse in the US state of Florida.

Racing.com will broadcast a 90-minute special live from Gulfstream Park on Sunday morning. The coverage will be produced by the event’s exclusive rights-holder in the US, the NBC Sports Group division of media company NBCUniversal.

The Pegasus World Cup has a purse of $12m (€11.2m) and has been billed as the world’s most lucrative thoroughbred horse race.
