Fledgling UK-based direct-to-consumer video platform Recast is close to striking deals with subscription broadcasters to help them monetise not only short highlights, but also live content.
Having already signed up rights-holders that include English Premier League side Manchester City, golf’s European Tour, Table Tennis England and the World Freerunning Parkour Federation, Recast has been in talks with broadcasters in different territories about setting up channels on the platform.
