The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has opened an investigation into UK broadcasters and the IMG agency over their purchase of freelance services for the production and broadcast of sports content.
The CMA said it is investigating “suspected breaches of competition law” by BT Group, ITV, Sky and IMG Media. The regulator believes it has reasonable grounds to suspect one or more breaches of competition law.
