Online streaming service Roku has announced the launch of UK public-service broadcaster the BBC’s sports service on its platform.
Under the agreement, Roku customers in the UK will be able to view the latest sports news, live action and highlights provided online by BBC Sport.
BBC Sport is available on current-generation Roku players, including the newly launched Roku Streaming Stick, and is free to download.
The tie-up comes ahead of the 2014 Fifa World Cup international football team tournament in Brazil this summer, when the BBC will show 31 matches live at the heart of extensive on and off field coverage across its television, radio and online properties.
