Italian Serie A football club AS Roma has said it has become the first team in Europe to live stream a full match via its official page on social media platform Facebook.
Roma utilised the platform’s Facebook Live feature to stream coverage of its pre-season friendly against Russian team Terek Grozny. Supporters from around the world were able to view the match.
The live stream was split into two posts, the first half and the second half, and Roma said it accumulated a total viewing figure of 584,000.
Roma won Sunday’s match 3-2.
