RTÉ retains rights to Ireland’s autumn internationals

Irish public-service broadcaster RTÉ has renewed a deal for rights to Ireland’s autumn international rugby union fixtures.

RTÉ will broadcast Ireland’s Test against New Zealand in November 2018, and will continue to showcase the autumn internationals until 2021.

RTÉ will hold exclusive Irish free-to-air rights to the games across television, radio, online and mobile.

Matches will be broadcast live and exclusively via the RTÉ2 channel, on RTÉ Player and across RTÉ Radio.

The deal also grants RTÉ rights to Ireland’s U20 Six Nations matches, and live coverage of the final stages of the All-Ireland League club competition. RTÉ2 will also continue to show its magazine show, Against The Head.
