Portuguese public-service broadcaster RTP has acquired free-to-air rights for the 2014 winter Olympic Games in Sochi and the 2016 summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, according to the Expresso.sapo.pt news website.
RTP agreed the deal with the Sportfive agency, which is distributing rights for the 2014 and 2016 Olympics in 40 European markets.
Sport TV acquired the pay-television rights in Portugal for the 2014 and 2016 Games last month.
