RTV Slovenija to broadcast national team football following sublicensing deal

Slovenian public-service broadcaster RTV Slovenija is the latest to sublicense rights to Uefa national-team matches from the United Group.

The deal includes rights to all matches involving the Slovenian national football team in the 2018-19 Nations League tournament and European Qualifiers for the Euro 2020 tournament. The deal begins with today’s (September 6) Nations League match against Bulgaria.

The United Media Group has already announced deals in Croatia with Nova TVand Bosnia and Herzegovina with Pink BiH, and further deals are expected. United Media Group acquired all Uefa national-team rights across all six Balkan markets last year.

The United Media Group has recently acquired Nova TV, and in June it sought approval for the 100-per-cent acquisition of Direct Media – owners of the Pink BiH channel.
