Russian Premier League renews distribution deal with IMG

The IMG Media agency has announced the renewal of its rights deal with the Russian Premier League, the country’s top football division, to distribute international media rights for the next three seasons, from 2012-13 to 2014-15.

The deal was first reported by TV Sport Markets in July (TV Sports Markets 16:13).

The agency has already agreed deals with over 20 broadcasters including public-service broadcaster NHK in Japan, pay-television broadcaster ESPN in Brazil and the Polsat media group in Poland.

IMG is marketing the rights for live and highlights coverage of 240 games from the league each season across various platforms, including television, internet, mobile, DVD, plus in-flight and in-ship.
