Russian pay-television sports channel Sport 1 has acquired rights to the 2014-15 season of the Eredivisie, the top division of Dutch football.
Sport 1, which is owned by state broadcaster VGTRK, will broadcast more than 110 Eredivisie games, along with a weekly highlights programme.
The 2014-15 Eredivisie season commences on August 8 as PEC Zwolle take on Utrecht. Ajax is the reigning Dutch champion.
